Green Neural Network Puzzle
This laser-cut wood jigsaw puzzle features a microscopic photograph of toxic plaques (red) binding to the surface of cortical neurons, as occurs in cells afflicted by Alzheimer’s disease. The neurons were derived from human pluripotent stem cells by scientists researching how Alzheimer’s develops in the brain at the Schaffer Lab at UC Berkeley

about our puzzles
Our plywood jigsaw puzzles are made by lasers and algorithms in Somerville, MA. The intricate branching shapes of the puzzle pieces emerge from an algorithm simulating crystal growth. The organic forms are cut from plywood by a laser, resulting in a uniquely challenging puzzle crafted from premium materials.

Each puzzle includes 2 to 5 science-themed whimsies (puzzle pieces shaped like neurons, brains, DNA, microscopes, etc) that complement the photograph.
