Red Neural Network Puzzle
This laser-cut wood jigsaw puzzle features a photograph of neurons that were grown at the Loring Laboratory at the Scripps Research Institute. Skin cells from Parkinson’s Disease patients are reverted to pluripotent stem cells that are then directed to become dopaminergic neurons. These neurons are studied for the development of future clinical therapies.

about our puzzles
Our plywood jigsaw puzzles are made by lasers and algorithms in Somerville, MA. The intricate branching shapes of the puzzle pieces emerge from an algorithm simulating crystal growth. The organic forms are cut from plywood by a laser, resulting in a uniquely challenging puzzle crafted from premium materials.

Each puzzle includes 2 to 5 science-themed whimsies (puzzle pieces shaped like neurons, brains, DNA, microscopes, etc) that complement the photograph.
