This spherical brass pendant inspired by glass sponges hangs from an 18” long gold-filled chain. It’s like a tiny golden coral planet you can wear around your neck.

Porifera is a 3D-printed ceramic and brass jewelry collection inspired by the forms of deep-sea dwelling glass sponges. These ancient sponges form reefs of glass with complex, porous architectures that are home to many species. The jewelry designs are computationally generated by custom software which creates minimal surface networks along cellular scaffolds that adapt to different volumes and densities.

Our brass jewelry is 3D-printed in wax and then cast in brass. A protective finish is applied to help prevent tarnishing, but over time this piece may develop a patina.
